Rapid Weight Loss - What I Started With...

Weight Loss Before
This picture was taken at the 5 kilometer race held by the company in July 2014. Although I got the 12th position and the 1st among compatriots, I was not proud.

Okay, I wanted to lose weight, right? Then I needed to give myself a good reason.

1. My body easily gets fat.

That is mostly because I eat much more than I should. But I can not just resist goodies, whatever they may be as long as they are delicious.

I know. Many people who eat as much don't get fat as fast as I. That kills me.

2. Being fat has many implications.

One of them is heavy breath. People around me can hear my breath. I can even hear my breath.

Another of them is risk of hypertension. Before I went to Africa, I went for a physical check at the hospital. At the blood pressure test room, the doctor talked to herself and half to me that it's weird that your blood pressure is at the critical range while you look so young.

I never forget her tone.

When I get to the balance, a male doctor was straightforward, saying, "You must start to control your weight, buddy."

3. It looks ugly when I was fat.

You can see that from the picture above. Bumped belly and chin were difficult to look at. I don't like it even myself.

So I decided to lose weight, through exercising, specifically running.

One year later, on the same event at a different date in October 2015, I became this and got the 8th place.

Weight Loss After

Okay. That is what you see and may have got from every weight losing story.

But that is not the whole story.

The story is ...

1. This was the fourth and fifth time during a period of 15 years that I tried to lose weight and succeeded, well, to some extent.

I found out that it is really EASY to lose weight, but it is really hard to stay thin.

If you don't change your lifestyle, you will have to lose weight and become fat again and again.

2. You need to increase the duration or intensity as you go if you want to lose weight through exercising.

Otherwise, you are going to get bigger even if you keep exercising. Running, for example.

After I started to run everyday, I become think quickly and lost 7 kilograms in one or two months. Then I went on business trip in South Africa for 10 days, after which I became bumped again. So I had to start running for over 40 minutes each time late in the evening, at least half an hour after dinner.

So if you do this like what I have been doing, then you need to get prepared that you need to do this over time and time again throughout your whole life.

And it also tells me that you will spoil your muscles or body in a very short period of time. A week's idleness would sabotage your months' hard work on the treadmill.

So I decided to try something else... see the next post here.
